I am instructed by the President, in answer to your note of to-day, to explain that our Soiree next Wednesday is not our annual Conversazione for ladies (which will be held some time in June), but it is a Soiree to which only gentlemen are invited. I inclose cards for the two gentlemen named in your letter.
