TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to The Under Colonial Secretary, Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope
Date30 April 1894
In acknowledging the volume of the Parliamentary papers which you have been good enough to present to this Library, I beg leave to suggest that they might with more advantage be presented to some other institution more immediately concerned with history of statistics, the Royal Society being devoted exclusively to mathematical and physical science. Our space, moreover, being exceedingly limited, I venture to submit this suggestion for your consideration.
I have the honour to be, Sir, your obedient servant,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
