TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Percy Carlyle Gilchrist, Frognal Bank, Finchley Road, Hampstead, N.W.
Date22 May 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
In answer to your's of the 21st , the Paris Academy does not, so far as we can ascertain, publish any list of their officers. The officers of the Brussels Academy are on p.13 of their "Annuaire" (sent herewith). The Berlin Academy gives only the names of their Permanent Secretaries, on the first page of "Sitzungsberichte" (sent herewith). The Vienna Academy gives the list of officers on p.9 of their "Almanach" (sent herewith). I may mention that a useful book of reference for such purposes is the "Minerva; Jahrbuch der gelehrten Welt", published by Trübner of Strassburg.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
