TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Right Honourable Earl of Rosebery, Archibald Philip Primrose
Date15 October 1886
DescriptionRix refers to a July in which his Lordship's election into the Royal Society was officially communicated, the postscript of which concerned fees payable previous to admission, the Earl should not pay these fees until the time for Admission into the Society more nearly approaches, but as the Society's anniversary is now drawing near, when a tabulated statement of the numbers of Fellows and payments due from them has to be drawn up and printed for the Fellows, it will be a great convenience it the Earl could inform Rix as soon as convenient whether he intends to pay the admission fee of £10 and the annual subscription of £4, or to pay the life-composition of £70. Encloses a copy of the statues [not attached].
