TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Arthur Cates
Date8 November 1886
DescriptionRix waited until he had submitted Cates' letter of 26 October, to the Treasurer, John Evans, before answering it. The omission of names from the circular occurred whilst Rix was abroad and occurred due to a want of judgement. The names and amounts had been entered in the banker's pass-book. Rix encloses a proof of a circular which the Royal Society is just now issuing, in which Cates' name appears [not attached].
