DescriptionGill's application for a grant in aid of an atlas of the southern heavens was placed before the Committee and a resolution agreed that the consideration of the application be postponed as such a large undertaking should not be entered upon without previous preliminary consideration by a Committee, and until the matter has been discussed at the proposed Paris Conference. A Committee has been appointed by the Council and will communicate further with Gill.
