TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to John Murray
Date16 December 1886
DescriptionFoster quotes a passage from a letter of 7 June 1886 from the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury stating that some report and estimate is necessary early in the year to frame the estimate to Parliament and it would be convenient if the 'Challenger' committee would make their next report early in January 1887, thus making it unnecessary to procure a separate report from Mr Murray. Foster as Secretary to the Society asks Murray to assist the Committee in meeting the Lordship's wishes.
