DescriptionWith reference to the Controller's letter of 2 February 1886, containing an estimate for printing the Fort Rae observations, Scott learns from the Treasurer of the Royal Society, John Evans, that the actual cost involved considerably exceeds the estimate. The Treasurer has asked Scott to obtain a note of the particulars of this cost from the Stationary Office.
