TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Joseph Norman Lockyer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date27 January 1887
DescriptionIn answer to Lockyer's note of yesterday, the block was not cut from the rough sketch but was carefully done form the finished drawings. Rix explains why he sent back the rough sketch and why they were obliged to fold rather than roll the item. Rix sends today by parcel post the tables A and B and the finished drawing of the curves as requested. He asks that Lockyer have these copied and the originals returned to the Royal Society in accordance with statute and a recent minute of the Library Committee. Rix forwards herewith copies of the proof of the tables and blocks [not attached]. The tables are corrected the block is not. He has sent the block for correction this morning and as soon as it returns he can, if desired, send a few copies of the complete correct paper.
