TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Smith, Sons & Oakley
Date8 February 1887
DescriptionConcerning the Wharton Road ground rents, Mr Thompson of 10 Campden Grove has paid to the Royal Society office £7-19-6 being one quarter's ground rent up to Christmas on numbers 73, 75 and 77 Wharton Road. Rix referred Thompson to the Messrs as the Society's agents in this matter but he pressed that he should be allowed to hand in the cheques as he has sent in an account in which this rent was specified as paid. Rix asks the Messrs to take careful note that this rent has been paid and to apply at Lady Day for only one quarter instead of two, to Mr Thompson.
