| Description | In answer to the librarians note of 16 February [1887], the payment for enclosures has been no great matter and they will not trouble the University to defray it. Concerning the distribution of packets, the Royal Society has long since ceased to perform this office. Parcels can be more easily distributed by a regular agent such as Messrs Dulau & Co, Soho Square. Lists the organisations the Royal Society can as a matter of courtesy distribute to, as they are within easy reach. Rix has given instructions for the despatch of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', number 246 to complete the University's set and has taken note of the librarians instructions regarding the direction of parcels. |
