TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Trübner & Company
Date14 March 1887
DescriptionRix is delighted by the Messers letter and enclosed advertisement of reprints from the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. The reprints were published without the Society's knowledge. Rix wrote to the Senior Secretary, Dr Foster, at once on the subject enclosing the document the Messrs sent. Foster replies that he does not think the Society can prevent any re-prints from the 'Transactions' which is marked as 'reprinted', but he is not sure about reprints from the 'Challenger' reports. Rix will bring the matter before the Officers.
