TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to P Edward Dove
Date20 June 1887
DescriptionRix explains that Dove's name stands presently on the permanent list of the gentlemen's May soiree, which is subject to revision from year to year by the Soiree Committee. The June soiree is the President's Soiree and for that no permanent list has ever existed. The Soiree Committee make suggestions to the President and each member of the Committee has usually received permission to submit the names of eight of his friends. These with the President's own invitations and the Fellows of the Society form the company.
