TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Warren de la Rue, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date28 June 1887
DescriptionRue asked Rix to keep an eye on the account of Rue's grant so that a certain amount might be reserved to pay Mr Marth for superintendence. Rix therefore writes to say there is now about £46-10-0 left.

As far as he knows there is nothing more due to Marth. Mr Sasser[?] was paid by piece work with the last payment being 19 May. Since then however Sasser has done a great deal of work for which no arrangement was made and for which he has not been paid, amounting to a fortnight of six to seven hours per day. Rix asks to know Rue's wishes regarding this.
