DescriptionRix notes applications to the Scientific Relief Fund must be supported by the President of one of the following Societies: The Royal Astronomical; the Linnean; the Chemical; the Geological; the Zoological; the Royal Geographical or the Royal Society. It is necessary that Cerllis's[?] case should be known and recommended by one of these Presidents. The Royal Society is at present in vacation but if Cullis' application is received and properly supported it will be considered at the first meeting of the Council after the recess.
