DescriptionIn reply to Bramston's letter of 27 August [1887], it being the vacation of the Royal Society and the Council not meeting until late October, it will not be possible to obtain an immdeiate decision regarding Bramston's important question without summoning a special meeting of the Council. Should an early answer be required the President will take steps to calls such a meeting. Otherwise the President will bring the letter before Council on the third Thursday in October.
