TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr E J Howard, Nocton Rise, Lincolnshire
Date18 October 1887
DescriptionAccording to Rix's promise he wrote to Howard on the 13 October [1887] after he had seen Mr [John] Evans, but his letter was mis-directed and has only come back to Rix his morning. Rix supposes that before now Howard has heard from Messrs Smith & Oakley who promised that they would write. It was through the Messrs oversight that the matter had not been attended to before. Rix stated in his letter that went astray that Mr Evans thought Howard had better let Messrs Smith & Oakley know the circumstances under which one of the fields is still in the hands of a sub-tenant.
