Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster |
Date | 21 October 1887 |
Description | Rix has received a letter from the War Office about the borings and acknowledged it. In spite of Foster's pencil numbering Mr James wrote the order of agenda incorrectly but Rix has underlined the item which ought to have stood first. Major General Sir A Clarke was Inspector of Fortifications last year but he does not now hold any office. His successor is Lieutenant General Nicholson. Rix wonders if either, both or neither are to be asked to the [anniversary] dinner. |
