Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster |
Date | 24 October 1887 |
Description | The Royal Society has never had any newspaper editors or reporters at the [anniversary] dinner and until last year they have never had any of the speeches reported, nothing but the bare statements that 'the Fellows dined together at Willis's Rooms' coming at the end of the Anniversary paragraph in 'The Times'. Rix notes there is a short paper by [Harry Govier] Seeley on classification of Dinosauria with [wood]cuts which is sent in for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' and Rix asks if he may have it set up. He encloses a letter received from Captain Dickinson [not attached] requiring an immediate reply. |
