TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Joseph Norman Lockyer, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date10 November 1887
DescriptionRix is vexed Mr James did not call him this morning when Lockyer was at the Society. Rix wonders if Lockyer is expecting his full paper to come on next Thursday or only the preliminary notice. If the former he needs the manuscript no later than Saturday, and if very long an abstract must be sent also. Rix has heard rumours of an arc light and screen being prepared and he wonders if this is for Lockyer's paper. If so he wonders by what date it is to be ready. Mr Collings will call on Lockyer on Saturday morning with proofs of the blocks, and clichés will be sent to the 'Nature' office.
