TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster
Date25 March 1895
DescriptionIn the hurry of catching the post Foster was sent the wrong proof of the Government Grant. A later copy should now have been sent to which there are one or two additional corrections which Rix has now included [not attached]. Rix has now sent one or two others relating to the board of Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] as these had already been settled on Saturday. They will now go into pages at once and make a desperate effort to get them out by the end of the month.

Rix has sent 'Standing orders to a Committee' to be set up in slip.

The Swan Electric Engraving Company are no strangers to the Society and have executed some of their spectrum plates. The Company's work is splendid and they can do things that no other engraver can but they are very expensive.

Major [Percy Alexander] MacMahon cannot undertake the obituary notice of Mr [Thomas Penyngton] Kirkman and suggests Reverend Robert Harley. Asks for further instruction on this.
