TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to William Crookes, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date[March] 1895
DescriptionThe person who spoke of the Members of Council having Soirée tickets at their disposal was probably confusing the Soirée with the Anniversary Dinner, when Members of Council are allowed to ask an extra number of guests.

There is no regulation of the kind about the Soirée, but any suggestions made by Members of Council of persons they would like invited receive special attention from the Officers and any names that Crookes may send will be submitted in due course, and if sanctioned invitations will be sent.
