TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date15 October 1894
DescriptionGroup two, astronomy, and group 4, chemistry, of the subject index sub-committee have not yet met and Rix wonders if they are to do so before Council. Rix has printed the reports of all the other groups. Proposes occasions before October Council at which the Dinner Committee might meet. Encloses a list of agenda for Council [not attached]. All of those ticked blue can go on the printed items. Asks Foster by Wednesday to indicate the order of the agenda and mark which of the rest of the items are to come on next week and which of these are to go on the card. Rix hopes Foster is getting well and will soon be able to come to town. He looks forward to the coming session with 'fear and trembling'.
