TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society
Date27 October 1894
DescriptionRix understood that Dr [Michael] Foster had sent a draft letter for the Geographical Society about the Antarctic to one of the Officers. Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] appears to know nothing about it, and Rix thinks therefore that it must have been in his letter to Evans.

Foster promised Mr Keltie a letter on the subject to be dispatched immediately after last Thursday's Council, so as to be in time for the Royal Geographical Society's Council which meets at the start of November. If Evans has the draft Rix asks for it without delay.
