TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to [the Engraver of the Mint]
Date1 November 1894
DescriptionThe Engraver's predecessors have generally asked the Society to inform them privately of the names to be engraved on the Medals in advance of the Royal assent. The Anniversary Day when the medals are presented is 30th November, and if the Queen's approval is waited for, the time is so short that there is a difficulty in getting the medals finished.

Privately the names for this years medalists are; Professor Victor Alexander Haden Horsley FRS and Professor Joseph John Thomson FRS.
