TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr J Beard, University, Edinburgh
Date8 November 1894
DescriptionNo memoir published elsewhere can be accepted for the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Beard's paper however seems to be new in the main, with only a summary of previous work. If that is the case it would not be inadmissible on the grounds of previous publication. If any considerable part of the paper turns out to be old, the question of publication will be decided by the Committee of Papers.
