TitleCopy letter from John Evans, to Messrs Dulau & Company, 37 Soho Square, London, W.
Date29 November 1894
DescriptionFrom the recent correspondence and interviews between the Messrs and Rix, Evans understands that if the Messrs can have the exclusive right to sell as separate memoirs the papers which together constitute the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', whether such papers have been already or will be hereafter published, that the Messrs are willing to purchase a stock of the past 'Phil. Trans.', catalogue the memoirs, and try to sell them broken up as memoirs. Evans understands that the Messrs are aware that Messrs Freidlander of Berlin has already been appointed agents, but not sole agents, for the sale of the publications of the Society on the continent of Europe.

The President and Council are willing to offer Messrs Dulau & Company the exclusive right to sell in Great Britain and Ireland as separate memoirs, the papers above referred to. Evans describes the terms on which papers will be supplied to the Messrs. The arrangement is proposed to be for three years from the 31 December next and thenceforth until determined by either party giving the other no less than six calender months notice in writing.

Asks for a letter accepting these terms.
