Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster |
Date | 4 December 1894 |
Description | Mr [Rubert William] Boyce has sent back his paper revised and says he has carried out the suggestions of the reference to the best of his ability. Rix supposes he may proceed with the paper. Rix is proceeding with the selected blocks and the one photographic plate which was allowed Boyce, accepting the estimates for these which were originally furnished and were placed before the Committee of papers.
Incloses a letter from Dr [William Dobinson] Halliburton [not attached] which came yesterday with Professor [Archibald Byron] MacAllum's paper. At present this paper has no communicator. Rix cannot remember what Foster instructed him regarding this matter.
An important letter from the Royal Geographical Society regarding the Antarctic has just come. The RGS are going to take the matter into their own hands, relying upon the support of the Royal Society. Rix will keep this for Thursday. |
