DescriptionOn the death of the late Mr Dove who was formerly Secretary of the Darwin Memorial Fund, Dove's cash-box was opened by his executor and among other papers was found a cheque drawn by Paget in favour of that fund, dated 19th August 1882, for two guineas.

This cheque has never been banked and Rix is directed by the Treasurer, Sir John Evans, to inquire whether the cheque may be credited to the Darwin Memorial Fund.
