TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Fellow of the Royal Society
Date12 January 1895
DescriptionRegarding the [Antoine Laurent] Lavoisier Memorial, Rix has written to Professor [Wyndham Rowland] Dunstan as instructed.

The matter stands thus; the Society received a letter some time ago from a Mr Hinrichs to which the Society replied that it did not propose to take any steps unless the Paris Academy communicated with the Society. Lately, as Rix learns from the papers, the Paris Academy has communicated with some scientific societies but not the Royal Society.

Rix wonders if he should write and ask if their circular miscarried.
