TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor David Edward Hughes, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date18 January 1895
DescriptionRix is instructed by the Secretaries to let Hughes know that at the Committee of papers yesterday, Sir David Salomon's paper on some phenomena in vacuum tubes, number III, was carefully considered and was decided to be unsuitable for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. As this paper has not been read it is still within Hughes' power, as the communicator, to withdraw the manuscript, should Hughes and the author prefer that course. Asks to know what they decide.
