TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt]
Date21 January 1895
DescriptionMr White tells Rix that the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' have now been stopped for some weeks for want of authority from the Committee of papers; and Rix finds no 'Proceedings' papers were passed on Thursday. Dr [Michael] Foster thinks the Secretaries might take the responsibility of passing for publication the most necessary of these papers and Rix is accordingly sending Foster the titles of the biological papers. Encloses herewith the two titles of physical papers [not attached]. If Strutt can authorize the latter they can get another number of the 'Proceedigns' out in a short time.
