TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date22 January 1895
DescriptionRix has received a report from Mr Scott-Elliot this morning giving an account of his movements and the results of his expedition. Scott-Elliot proposes to stay at Mandala, Shire Highlands for about a fortnight and then return home. Rix keeps his letter to be printed with the others for the Government Grant Committee and supposes Foster does not wish any preliminary use to be made of it. In a hand written postscript Rix states he has received Foster's note and saw Dowse[?] at once, and has since seen Mr Nilman who will not say 'yes' until he has seen the Vice-Chancellor. Chapman is away again very poorly.
