TitleCopy letter from Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], to Professor Alfred Cardew Dixon
Date18 August 1894
DescriptionEncloses remarks by one of the referees of Rayleigh's paper [not attached]. Another referee suggests the the results p17-20 should merely be stated in the analysis. In the same way Strutt thinks that pp 50-52 and 56-60 had better be abbreviated. If this is done p61 had better be made a note at the end of p55. It would be desirable for Dixon to revise the manuscript in the light of these criticisms before it goes to the printers. Rix will send the manuscript on application.
