TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to James Campbell Irons, 22 York Place, Edinburgh
Date8 February 1895
DescriptionRix finds Irons is correct. The President [Lord Kelvin, William Thomson] mentioned Dr [James] Croll and his work in his anniversary address of 1891. The Society has no copies of this address left but it is possible Lord Kelvin may be able to give Irons a copy. Failing that he could consult the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', volume 50, page 219, at the library of the Royal Society of Edinburgh , Royal College of Physicians, Geological Society, Royal Scottish Society of Arts, or several other scientific societies in Edinburgh to which the Society sends its publications.
