TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr J W Spencer, 1751 18th Street, Washington D.C., United States of America
Date26 September 1894
DescriptionIf, as Rix gathers from Spencer's letter the photograph Spencer requires to have returned is a picture, as distinct from a map, it did not reach the Society with the paper.

The manuscript as communicated to the Society was accompanied by three large diagrams and four small maps. There were registered at the time of receipt of the manuscript, and are still at the Society. Whether Spencer sent the picture of Professor Bonney or not they cannot say, but as the Society also possesses Spencer's letter of 27th March to Bonney in which Spencer mentions the maps but not a photograph, it would seem doubtful whether the latter ever reached Bonney.

The volume of the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers' containing the letter 'S' is passing through the press but they have not yet reached that letter. The list Spencer proposes to send will doubtless be useful.
