TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to His Excellency, The French Ambassador
Date15 November 1895
DescriptionFoster recently had the honour to send His Excellency an invitation to the Annual Dinner of the Royal Society, to beheld on the 30th at the Whitehall Rooms of the Hotel Metropole. As yet they have not received a reply.

Since the invitation was issued, an invitation has been issued to Monsieur [Étienne-Jules] Marey, the President of the Académie des sciences de l'Institut, and he has accepted. Probably other members of the Académie will be present. Under these circumstances Foster ventures to hope that His Excellency will also be able to attend.
