DescriptionWith reference to Foster's letter of 29 April, in addition to Professor C V Boys and Professor H Dixon, the President and Council had invited Professor W C Unwin, Professor of Engineering at the Central Technical College of the City and Guilds of London Institute, and the Reverend F J Smith, of Trinity College, Oxford, and University Lecturer in Mechanics to join the Committee, but not having received replies from those gentlemen, and fearing to delay any longer, Rix wrote without any mention of their names. Both these gentlemen are now willing to serve.
