TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr David Bierens de Haan, Leyden, Holland
Date3 April 1895
DescriptionRix answers a query from de Haan respecting [letter] number 2645; the letter coincides with the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' number 96, page 1087, only the whole is not printed. The number does not coincide with the passage in Brewster's 'Life of Newton' page 453. The passage in Brewster pages 451 refers to the same letter and forms its beginning. There are a few lines at the end about miscellaneous matters which Rix thinks are of no value to de Haan, and the date is 23 June 1673. A small part of the [1673] letter is quoted.

Mr Chapman who looked up these particulars shall also copy letter number 3021 for de Haan.
