TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor Pier Andrea Saccardo, R Orto Botanico, Padova, Italy
Date11 June 1895
DescriptionSaccardo's letter of 1 May was laid before the Catalogue Committee and Foster is instructed to present the thanks of the Committee for the kind action he has taken in obtaining the authority of the Ministry of Instruction for the loan of books.

The Committee gladly accepts the offer of the loan of deficient numbers in series which have already been catalogued in part. A supplementary volume to the catalogue is now almost ready for press and any deficiencies Saccardo has detected the Society shall be glad to insert in this volume if he will lend the serials. In these cases the Society would like still better to purchase the wanting numbers if Saccardo could ascertain where they might be purchased.

Regarding complete series of periodicals hitherto uncatalogued, it would be necessary for the Committee to consider the advisability of adding them to the list of periodicals from which titles are to be extracted, and they would highly value any advice Saccardo can afford. Asks if Saccardo could at once send a list of those periodicals which he has already noticed as not hitherto catalogued and which ought to be included.
