TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Reverend Frederick William Farrar, Fellow of the Royal Society, Dean of Canterbury, 17 Dean's Yard, Westminster, S.W.
Date15 June 1895
DescriptionWhen Farrar was Rector of St Margaret's, Westminster, in June of last year, he informed the Society that Mary Brookes of 16 Parker Street, Westminster, formerly charwoman for the Society, was in want and the Council granted an allowance of four shillings a week for one year. The term of this has been reached and the Treasurer [John Evans] wishes to know if there is an alms house for aged women to which Mary, who is an old parishioner and constant attendant at the parish church, would be eligible for.
