TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Reginald Hawthorn Hooker, Royal Statistical Society, 9 Adelphi Terrace, Strand, W.C.
Date2 April 1895
DescriptionFor the purposes Hooker mentions, it is quite proper that the Society should send him a copy of the present statutes, which he encloses herewith [not attached]. There is no regulation in force empowering the Council to remit the entrance fee and subscription of any Fellow. The only way this can be done is for an application to come before the Scientific Relief Committee. Sir William Armstrong increased the funds available to that Committee on the understanding that they should be applied in case of necessity to the remission of subscriptions.
