TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Charles Chree, Kew Observatory, Richmond, Surrey
Date12 July 1895
DescriptionIn reply to Chree's of yesterday, Chree provides the precise words of Messrs Few & Company's letter concerning the meetings to be held respecting the change in name of the Incorporated Kew Committee. Rix does not know any more beyond this and further elucidation should be obtained from the Messrs. Rix thinks Chree would be the proper person to summon the meeting.

The Messrs say they have received from Chree the Certificate of Incorporation but not a copy of the Licence of the Board of Trade sanctioning the registration. The Royal Society has no such document. Asks if it is quite certain that Chree has not received it from either the Society or the Board. If so Rix will make enquiries. Possibly it is still lying at Somerset House.
