TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society
Date16 July 1895
DescriptionChree seems to think that he ought to sign the summonses for the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Incorporated Kew Committee and also that it would be much more convenient to them to hold it as usual at the Meteorological Office, so that they might upon the same day proceed to their ordinary business at the conclusion of the Extraordinary Meeting.

Rix cannot see any objection to Chree issuing the summonses provided he follows Few's form, and therefore, unless he hears from Evans to the contrary, Rix shall tell him that he can do so.

Has ascertained that the licence for which they were searching in the safe is retained at Somerset House when the Certificate of Registration is issued, and has written to Few that they can get a certified copy of it upon application there. Encloses two Government Grant cheques for Evans' signature.
