DescriptionLord Rayleigh [John William Strutt] says that the Index Chart as published in Calcutta can be adapted to the size and form of the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Accepts Walker's kind offer to write to the Surveyor General's Office and obtain copies for the Society.

The Society wants 925 copies plus as many as Walker would like for his own private copies. Walker is entitled to up to 100 copies free and up to 150 more at his own cost.
