TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Señor Alberto de Marion, Ingenieur des Mines, Oficina de Minas, Palencia, Spain
Date29 July 1895
DescriptionIn reply to Marion's letter received this morning, Marion's communication about the quadrature of the circle was received from the British Museum to which it had been addressed. In the body of the communication Marion spoke of the Royal Institution and so it was considered that Marion intended it for this institution and not the Society and it was accordingly forwarded there.

No prize for the quadrature of the circle has ever been offered by the Royal Society.
