TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Le Chargé d'affaires, Ambassade de France, Albert Gate House, S.W.
Date9 August 1895
DescriptionIn reply to Foster's letter of the 3 August addressed to the President of the Society with an enclosure from the Société zoologique de France, Foster has the honour to say that the Royal Society are unable to take any action as regards the request made. The President and Council were requested some time back to advise Her Majesty's Government as to the presentation of a certain number of copies [presumably of the 'Challenger' Report] and that advice was given and the matter has now passed out of their hands.
