Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to George Francis Scott-Elliot |
Date | 15 August 1895 |
Description | Concerning the Government Grant, Foster can only repeat that the Council of the Royal Society have no wish to interfere in any way with the working out and naming of Scott-Elliot's [botanical] collection. Foster's instructions from the Council are confined to two points referring to the disposal of the specimens; that one set should go to Kew [Gardens] to aid in the African Flora, and another the the British Museum. Scott-Elliot's letter is not clear on these points. |
