TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor Thomas George Bonney, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date26 August 1895
DescriptionIt may be useful to Boney to know that previous to the meeting of the British Association, Foster was directed by the President and Council to write to the Lords of Admiralty asking them to assist the proposed expedition to examine the structure of a Coral Reef by boring, by lending the use of a vessel. Up to the present they have no answer and Foster is about to go on holiday.

Should the reply come before the meeting of the Association the assistant secretary will send Bonney a copy. Foster thinks the letter ought not be published as it has not been laid before the President and Council but Bonney can make whatever use out of it he thinks desirable for helping the expedition.
