TitleCopy letter from an unknown correspondent, to [Lord Rayleigh, John William Strutt]
Date2 September 1894
Description[Incomplete copy letter] Professor [Joseph] Larmor has returned the proof of this 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper with such a quantity of alterations and additions that the correspondent does not think it should go on without approval. Asks if he can send the proof for the recipient to see.

Last week the correspondent sent the letter recipient estimates for the illustrations to Professor Threlfall's paper [see NLB/11/651] and on the Tuesday proofs of Mr Capstick's paper to pass for press. These have not yet come back.
